7^th East Bay Triple Crown Trail Championships

On Sunday, June 1^st, Lake Chabot in Castro Valley was a beautiful setting for the second leg of the East Bay Triple Crown Trail Championships. It began bright and sunny, not the perfect conditions for a trail half marathon. The Golden Bay Runners put on a well organized and well supported RRCA Cal State championship race. The challenging hills and length of the course are a test of stamina for any runner. The “Triple Crown” saw a number of mini-competitions created with the finishers of this second race. On Sunday, June 15^th at the 43^rd Annual Woodminster Cross Country race, the 7^th East Bay Triple Crown Trail Champions will be celebrated with $100. to “win”, $50. to “place” and $25. to “show” in the Open Men’s & Women’s division and $50. to the champions of the Ruth Anderson Cup (50+) and Joe King Cup (50+). “Survivor” results will be mailed to 3C runners.
